As part of Group HR I highly appreciate it and wish we had more colleagues like that. Hopefully someone will get inspired by you! 😊Nora Jaavall Hansen
Well done for stepping up so well on the project. You challenged the approach for SuccessFactors Learning use cases and ended up putting in a great deal of effort to revolutionise use cases in the Learning area. Along the way you've also greatly improved associated collateral such as workshop materials, data templates, glossary's and many others!
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to improve these assets.Stephen Burr
RFI, RFP, Blog, Wordsmither, contributor across BD and excellent critique. Stephen has contributed extensively across a magnitude of initiatives and seems to have more hours in the day than the average human.Anonymous
I think your presentation was informative, well-paced, visual and packed some humour. The audience were engaged, I could see this as I was watching them. Great work…and I look forward to working with you on the next one.Rad Chavda
Many thanks Stephen for your contributions to the Quarterly release series across 2019. You consistently deliver strong and engaging ECSC & Learning articles and do by far the best job of promoting these articles across social media, which is a huge help towards the whole process and engagement with our content. A Personal thanks also for the level of support you give to me throughout these cycles, I’m very grateful!Helen Dunn
In the 18 months that Stephen has been a member of the SAP Community, he has already been noticed for his high quality contributions in the discussion forums and for his engaging blog posts. It is remarkable to see the level of thought and detail that goes into each one of his blog posts, and it was my pleasure to get to know Stephen better when I recognized him as the SCN Member of the Month in January 2013. We thank Stephen for his contributions to the community and hope that he will continue to teach and spark conversations within the community for many years to come!Laura Cetin
Stephen has a way of bringing pragmatic solutions to bear on what others deem to be intricate ICT problems. He has a people centred approach and this greatly impacts upon his staff. As a coach his use of well researched models lends itself to his style and he is keen to adopt new ways of working with issues and people.Peter Hill
Stephen is an extremely talented ICT manager with a vast range of skills and expertise. I hold him in the highest regard both for his technical skill and for his ability to adapt to the strategic needs of the organisation. His team is managed with tremendous efficiency and he leads by example, working hard to provide a fantastic service to his colleagues.
Stephen assisted my team on a number of occasions and each time he went the extra mile to make sure we received the support we required. I learned a lot from him on these occasions. I would recommend him without question.Adam Child
Stephen's principal strength lies in his ability to deliver effectively at both the micro and macro scale. He is as effective when explaining a minor piece of software to a reticent client as he is addressing senior management on issues of strategic importance relating to ICT. That combination of skills has made him a valuable asset not only to our organisation as a whole but also to me and my colleagues as individuals. Quite frankly I doubt our use of technology would have been anywhere near as effective or efficient without him, and I am certain that the organisation as a whole has moved forward considerably as a direct result of his skills and commitment.Dr Simon Ball
Stephen consistently goes above and beyond to provide solutions to various IT issues I've had over the years. I've lost count of the times Stephen's pulled out all the stops to enable me to meet deadline's when the task seemed near impossible.Matthew Watkins
Stephen has a great understanding of a range of technical platforms. He shows curiosity in how systems and technologies work; if he doesn't know about it, he finds out.
He established good relationships with the business customers in the marketing call centre to understand their needs. He took the lead on various developments and designed quality solutions. He is conscientious and hard working.Rob Chapman
Whenever I ran into technical difficulties, whilst working with Stephen, I could be certain of his help, as he has great technical expertise, and was always able to pick up knowledge of new areas rapidly; he is clear-thinking and has an ability to explain highly technical matters clearly.
Whilst Stephen was my manager, I always felt there was a clear plan for the team with realistic targets and that our workloads were well-managed by him. His analytical and precise approach with his rigorous and methodical project planning, meant that we were able to identify risks and issues up front, enabling us to get things right first time.
He was an approachable and fair manager, and very pleasant to work with.Kieran Walsh
I worked with Stephen for about five years at Norwich Union Life (York) in the Distributed Applications Support team, of which he became Team Leader whilst I was there.
I would describe him as having excellent hands-on knowledge of a wide variety of IT skills, be they programming languages or platforms. He seemed to take to the more managerial role seamlessly and had the respect of all who worked with him. Nothing ever seems to faze him if he is confronted with anything unfamiliar. He has a calm analytical brain which enables him to get to the root of a problem very quickly. He is also very hard working and not afraid to go the extra mile to make a solution not just good, but exceptional.
I very much enjoyed my time working with him and I imagine anyone else (either IT colleagues or business customers) would say the same.Richard Tatterton
